The perfect fusion between tradition and innovation

Among complex working techniques and intricate patterns, Mexican craftsmanship is transmitted from generation to generation. The objects created by Mexican craftsmen have reached very high levels of perfection and beauty, being a perfect fusion between the Old and the New World. Fany Carter, with Gavene Studio, has decided to share the products of its country of origin, a union of tradition and innovation, with a unique result capable of giving, to those who buy his creations, a product of high finish.

1.    Who (are you)?

My name is Fany Carter. I’m an interior designer and owner of Gavene Studio – a home accessory line of handcrafted home decorations imported from Guadalajara.

2.    What (do you do)?

Our accessories are made with an influence of Mexican, Spanish and Arabic tradition with a global, eclectic, and boho chic style. We create mirrors and terrariums but our pride and joy is in our exquisite and boldly designed lamps made with antique mirror gold and silver, clear, seeded and frosted glass finishes. Everything is handmade by craftsmen and brought from Jalisco Mexico. Our pieces are special because they are made from our soul and with a lot of love. Gavene Studio also provides residential and commercial interior design, which offers design consultations to developing an interior design project from start to finish.

3.    When (for how long)?

I have 5 years doing interior design, and 1 year with the home accessories line ‘Gavene Studio’

4.    Where?

USA / Mexico

5.    Why?

When I moved to California I wanted to find a way to share with my new country the love I have for the design and my Mexican roots and the best way to merge those two things for me is through decoration accessories, for example, with a beautiful lamp made by craftsmen hands I can transmit to the people who acquire it that in Mexico there is creativity, quality, ingenuity and a lot of passion for what is done. Also because at the same time we help complement the design of a home or project, we end up being part of a dream.
